FAQ Genie — Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the FAQ Genie Shopify app ("the App"). By installing

or using the App you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not install the App.

1. The service

FAQ Genie reads your Shopify shop policies and shipping/payment settings, generates

store FAQs grounded only in facts your store actually has, and — on your action

— publishes them to a store page with FAQPage JSON-LD. The FAQ generator is

deterministic and rule-based; it does not invent answers and does not use an

external AI/LLM provider.

2. Plans, billing, and cancellation

All charges are billed through Shopify's managed billing and appear on your

Shopify invoice; we never handle your payment-card details. Recurring charges renew

every 30 days until cancelled. You may cancel Pro at any time from the Plan tab or

by uninstalling the App; on cancellation you return to the Free plan and the

automatic re-publishing feature stops. Fees already billed for the current period

are non-refundable except where required by law or where prorated credit applies on

cancellation.

3. What the App writes to your store

When you click Publish (or, on Pro, when your policies change), the App creates or

updates a store page containing your FAQ content and FAQPage JSON-LD. The App

records an exact snapshot of the page beforehand so you can undo the change. The App

writes only content you can see; it never writes or accesses orders or customer

data (PCD Level 0).

5. Honest claims / no guarantees

The FAQPage JSON-LD is an AI-citation entity signal. It is not a FAQ rich

result or a search "star" snippet (Google retired FAQ rich results in 2026), and

the App does not guarantee any search ranking, AI citation, traffic, or sales

outcome. The App makes your true answers easy to find and quote; downstream search

and AI behaviour is outside our control.

6. Availability

We aim for high availability but provide the App "as is" and "as available". We may

modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice.

7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided without warranties of

any kind. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential

damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the App. Our total

liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid for the App in the three

months preceding the claim.

8. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. On uninstall, your data

is deleted per the Privacy Policy (shop/redact cascade). We may suspend or

terminate access for breach of these Terms or misuse.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms; material changes are reflected by the "Last updated" date

and, where required, by in-app notice. Continued use after changes constitutes

acceptance.
