Privacy Policy

Last updated: 19 August 2026

The short version. Fontly runs inside your own Google account. We operate no application server, we receive no document content, and there is no analytics. The only thing our domain serves is a set of static preview images — and those requests are made by Google's image proxy, not by you.

The permissions we ask for

PermissionWhy
documents.currentonly
“See, edit, create, and delete only the specific Google Docs™ document this application is used in”
To read which text you selected and to set the font on it. No access to your other documents.
presentations.currentonly The same, for the Google Slides™ presentation the add-on is open in.
spreadsheets.currentonly The same, for the Google Sheets™ spreadsheet the add-on is open in.

Each permission is limited to the single file you have the panel open in. Fontly makes no network requests of its own: it does not use UrlFetchApp, and the whole font catalogue ships inside the add-on's code.

The preview images

Each row in the panel is a small PNG that shows a font's name set in that font. Those images are static files on legal.syncerp.work, and their address contains only the font name — for example /fontly/p/l/lobster.png. They never contain anything from your document.

Cards in Google Workspace™ add-ons load images through Google's image proxy, so the request that reaches our server comes from Google, not from your browser. We therefore do not see your IP address, and we set no cookies. Our web server keeps ordinary access logs of those proxied requests (time, file name, Google's proxy address) for operational purposes.

What is stored, and where

In your own Google account (Apps Script user properties), never with us:

We never store the contents of your document, spreadsheet or presentation.

What we do not do

Limited Use

Fontly's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Since no document content ever leaves your Google account, the requirement is met by construction.

Deleting your data

Uninstalling the add-on removes its stored properties from your Google account. You can also remove the licence key from the panel at any time.
