Your licence is a key, not an account. After payment you receive a licence key. You paste it once into the add-on, and it is verified inside your own Google account by checking its signature — there is no call to any server of ours, and nothing about you or your documents is transmitted anywhere. The key stays in your account; you can remove it yourself at any time. That is why this add-on can honestly claim that nothing leaves Google.
You drop back to the free tier. You are never locked out of your own documents: alphabetical sorting, the preview and the undo keep working. We think being cut off from a tool you already installed is a bad way to treat people.
