Your licence is a key, not an account. After payment the licence key is e-mailed to you automatically, usually within a minute (if it is not there, look in your spam folder, then write to us and a person will send it again). You paste it once into the add-on, and it is verified inside your own Google account by checking its signature. Once a day the add-on also asks our licence server whether the key is still active — that request carries the key and a random installation id, and nothing about you or your spreadsheets. If it cannot reach us, your licence keeps working exactly as it did. The key stays in your account; you can remove it yourself at any time. That is why this add-on can honestly claim that nothing leaves Google.
You drop back to the free tier. You are never locked out of your own data: the everyday conversions, the preview and the undo keep working. We think being cut off from a tool you already installed is a bad way to treat people.
