The short version. Prism runs entirely inside your own Google account. It makes no network requests at all — not even for images — we operate no server for it, and there is no analytics. The colours are a few dozen hex codes inside the add-on's own code.
| Permission | Why |
|---|---|
documents.currentonly“See, edit, create, and delete only the specific Google Docs™ document this application is used in” |
To read the text you selected and to set its colour or size. It grants no access to your other documents, your Drive, or anything else. |
presentations.currentonly |
The same, for the Google Slides™ presentation the panel is open in. |
There is no third permission. Prism does not use UrlFetchApp: it never talks to any
server, ours or anyone else's.
In your own Google account (Apps Script user properties), never with us:
We never store the contents of your document or presentation.
Prism's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Since nothing leaves your Google account, the requirement is met by construction.
Uninstalling the add-on removes its stored properties from your Google account. You can also remove the licence key from the panel at any time.
