These terms govern your use of the Google Workspace add-on Highlighter — Colour-Code & Extract ("the add-on"), published by Going Stellar SRL ("we", "us"). By installing or using the add-on you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not install it.
The add-on colour-codes the Google Docs document you have open: you select text and press a named category, and the add-on applies ordinary Google Docs highlighting in that category's colour. It counts the highlighted passages in each category, and on request writes a "Coded extract" section — the passages grouped by category — at the end of the same document. That section is rebuilt each time you press Extract passages, and the document says so on the section itself. Marking, the six named categories, Remove highlight and the extract are free. With a Pro licence it also marks every match of a word or phrase at once, saves your own palette of categories across documents, and reports how much text each category covers. It runs inside Google Apps Script and requires the single permission described in our Privacy Policy.
We claim no ownership of, and acquire no rights in, any document you use the add-on with. The highlighting and the extract it produces are part of your document. The add-on transmits no content to us; see the Privacy Policy.
Do not use the add-on unlawfully, do not attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer it, and do not use it in a way that breaches your agreement with Google. You are responsible for having the right to access the documents you open it in.
The add-on depends on Google Workspace and Google Apps Script. Those platforms may change, impose quotas or become unavailable, which can interrupt or end the add-on's functionality through no fault of ours. We may modify, suspend or discontinue the add-on at any time. If we discontinue it, your documents keep every highlight and every extract — they are ordinary document content and never depended on the add-on to exist.
Pro is sold as a licence key, personal to the email address or domain it was issued to, as described on the pricing page. Yearly licences last one year from issue; lifetime licences do not expire. If a licence lapses, the add-on returns to the free tier — you are never locked out, and everything already in your documents stays there. One licence covers this add-on and every other add-on in our suite that honours the same key. Fees are not refundable except where the law says otherwise; if the add-on did not work for you, write to us first — we would rather fix it or refund you than argue.
The add-on is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. To the same extent, our total liability arising out of or relating to the add-on is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim — which for free-tier users is zero. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
These terms are governed by the laws of Romania. Disputes go to the competent courts of Brașov, Romania, unless mandatory consumer law gives you the courts of your residence.
We may update these terms; the date above changes when we do. Material changes will be announced on this page. Continuing to use the add-on after a change means you accept the new terms.
