Nothing happened when I pressed Apply

Rainbow works on the text you select. The side panel cannot see your document, so it cannot know whether anything is selected — that is why the button is always there. Select some text in the document, then press Apply to selection; if nothing was selected, the panel says so.

How do I get my text back?

Press Put it back with the same text still selected. It restores the colours and font sizes exactly as they were. If you have edited the text in between, Rainbow tells you rather than guessing.

Remove colours is the other way out: it clears the colouring from whatever you select, whenever, and it is free.

Can I use my own colours?

Yes, with Pro. Type them as hex values, e.g. #ff0080 #00c2ff, and they replace the palette. On the free plan you can type them too — Rainbow will tell you it used a palette instead, rather than silently doing something else.

The upside-down text looks odd in some fonts

Flipped letters are real Unicode characters, and not every font draws all of them. If a character looks wrong, try a different font — the text itself is fine, and flipping it again returns the original exactly.
