The short version

Recur has no server. It runs entirely inside your own Google account, and it makes no requests to any host we control. We cannot see your drafts, your recipients, or your schedules, because nothing ever reaches us.

What it accesses, and why

PermissionWhy it is needed
gmail.addons.executeLets the panel run inside Gmail™. It grants no access to your mail on its own.
gmail.sendSends the email you wrote in the panel, on the schedule you chose. It allows sending only — it does not allow reading anything.
script.scriptappCreates the single hourly timer that checks whether a scheduled send is due. Without it, a scheduler cannot run while you are away.

Recur cannot read your mail. Not your inbox, not your drafts, not your sent items, not even the message you happen to have open. It has no permission to read, only to send. That is a deliberate design choice: the permission that would let it open your drafts is one Google classifies as restricted, and we would rather ship a tool that cannot read your correspondence at all.

It requests no access to Drive, Calendar, Contacts or any other Google™ service.

What is stored, and where

Your schedules — the recipients, subject and text you typed, how often it should go out, when the next send is due, and the recent activity log — are stored in your own Google™ account, in the add-on’s user properties. They are not readable by us or by anyone else.

The activity log keeps the last 20 entries per schedule and nothing else. A schedule is capped at 50 recipients, a 500-byte subject and a 4,000-byte message, so it always fits the storage your account gives an add-on.

Deleting it all: the panel has a Delete everything Recur stored button that removes every schedule and the licence key in one click. Removing the add-on stops it from running; Google™ does not give add-ons a way to run code at uninstall, so we do not claim that uninstalling erases the stored settings — use the button if you want them gone.

Licence keys

A Pro key is a signed string. It is checked inside your own Google account, by verifying its signature — not by contacting a server of ours. Buying a key involves our payment provider; that transaction is covered by their terms, and we receive only the email address on the order.

Analytics

None. The add-on has no analytics, no telemetry and no error reporting; exception logging is turned off in its manifest.

Who we share your data with

We share Google user data with no third party. The add-on has no analytics provider, no advertising network, no data broker, no sub-processor and no affiliate, and it sends nothing to any server of ours. There is no transfer even as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, because there is no stored data to transfer, and nothing we could disclose in response to a legal request.

The one place your content goes is the one you choose: the recipients you address. When a schedule is due, the message you wrote is delivered by Google, through the Gmail™ API, from your own account to the addresses you typed. That delivery is between you, Google and your recipients; we are not a party to it and never see the message.

How your data is protected

Because the add-on collects nothing, most protection comes from what it never does. What remains is protected as follows:

Artificial intelligence and machine learning

We do not use Google Workspace™ data obtained through Google Workspace APIs to develop, improve or train generalised or non-personalised artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models. The add-on contains no AI or machine-learning component, and no Workspace data is transferred to any AI/ML platform or third party for any purpose.

Your rights

Since we hold no data about your use of the add-on, there is nothing to export or erase on our side. For anything related to a purchase, write to support@syncerp.work.
