Cards — Email to Trello™ from Gmail™

Cards — Email to Trello is a Gmail™ add-on that turns the email you have open into a card on the Trello™ board of your choice. Open an email, press one button, and a card is created with the title taken from the subject, a short excerpt of the message, and a link back to the email in Gmail™. Nothing from your file is ever sent anywhere: there is no database and no analytics. Without a licence key the add-on makes no network request at all; with a Pro licence it asks our licence server once a day whether that key is still active, sending only the key and a random identifier for the installation.

What the app does

Reads the email you have open — the subject when the panel appears, so the card title is prefilled; the sender and a short excerpt of the body only when you click Create card. Never any other message.
Lets you pick the board and list — your Trello™ boards and lists are loaded live from the Trello™ API and your last choice is remembered.
Creates the card on Trello™ — with the title, the excerpt and a link back to the original email, by calling api.trello.com directly from Google Apps Script™.

Permissions and privacy

Four narrow permissions, nothing else. It reads only the email you have open — its subject while the panel is open, its body only when you click Create card; it talks only to api.trello.com, with a token you create yourself on trello.com. Your password never touches it, and nothing about you is collected or stored on any server of ours. Details in the Privacy Policy.
